Capture a wider window of genetic changes with a Genomic Vista Test
Why use a Genomic Vista?
Most DNA tests are specific and may only test a single DNA base for a genetic association. But other genetic changes may occur and be associated with traits and diseases. Standard DNA tests do not capture novel genetic changes and therefore critical genetic information may never be known.
Pet Genomics has developed custom DNA sequencing tests called Genomic Vista Tests to capture a broader range of genetic changes.
How does it work?
The test targets a region of approximately 800 DNA bases around known genetic associations. The DNA sequencing will capture all the genetic changes within this region. The detected genetic changes will be listed as silent or non-silent changes, in other words if they are predicted to alter the encoded enzyme or protein.
Multiple DNA targets or regions can be bundled together to make the test cost effective and highly custom to suit what you need.
